The long Labor Day weekend was a blessing. I spent the time catching up with old friends. It is funny how you can lose track of old friends and then pick up the telephone and talk like it was just a day ago not a year! That is when you know you have true friends. I have vowed to not allow as much time to pass before I touch base again and plan to keep my promise!

Perhaps you have a friend or two that you have lost touch with. Track down their phone number and give them a call. If you are like me, you will be glad you did. Don't know where to find the persons phone number? Try ZabaSearch.com or Whitepages.com. Good luck!

Those of us on the perpetual diet have reason to celebrate if we are journaling daily. Journaling

tends to keep us honest in our dietary intake because having to look at it in black and white can be a reality check. I have lost 60 pounds, but with 40 to go the journal has once again been brought to the forefront. Everything that goes into my mouth is written on the page. This does

work if you really do it. So, the next thing you go to eat, write it down and see what you are grazing on the most, what you can cut out, and what you are really eating. Do this for at least a month and see what happens!

Today is a beautiful sunny day in Florida! It's a great day for that long walk you've been putting off or cleaning out the garage. Just keep the water bottle handy and enjoy the day.

Marion County has a great deal to offer the outdoor enthusiast with the trails in the National
Forest as well as rivers to canoe, kayak, innertube and boat. I have gone tubing in the Rainbow
River and found it a relaxing way to enjoy old Florida for the 2-4 hours of float time. The natural
beauty of the trees with moss hanging from them, fish, wildlife and sun make tubing a great
way to see the charm of the river. Tell me all the great things your county has to offer. I will
post your comments in a blog.
